The fact is the iCloud option isn't going to be very good in 1.0 form. With no doubt riaa imposed limits and some kind of horrible iTunes integration I shudder to think what the experience will be like. When iTunes first came out users were allowed to rip their cd collections. I very much doubt the riaa will let apple that much freedom with their streaming/iCloud this time around.

History teaches us Apple's cloud 1.0 version service is either wonky, limited or both. I bought MobileMe when it first came out. 3 months later it corrupted my 700 plus, several years accumulated bookmarks beyond recovery; to where I had to start from scratch. I was not happy and promptly Cancelled it.

That is very strange. Storage for pirated tracks? Pirated tracks scanned from iTunes library replaced with high quality music on the cloud?

That- is impossible.
1. The music companies would not agree
2. The law would not agree
3. Apple would not agree!

On the issue of data usage-
I sincerely hope that there is support for local storing on devices- Otherwise music lovers are in for a nightmare!
