Can this overheating issue could affect the quality of
the New iPad after a period of time? This will surely affect the sales of this
new tablet. I think the best solution would be to extend the warranty of the
New iPad, but it would be better if they will recall every device and let the
consumers wait for the improved version. Just my opinion!

If you go to the actual forums where people are complaining about the heat issues you will see more than a few that state that message came on their screen right before the iPad powered itself off.

Who said anything about that message?
You have a quad-core graphic chip, a display with more LED’s to brighten all those pixels, a bigger battery pumping more power to the graphic chip, all while using the same enclosure.
Common sense dictates that the temperature has to be higher.

Those “10ºF hotter” you’re reading online aren’t that bad considering the test they executed.

If other manufacturing company like samsung, asus,toshiba,sony ,hp or anyone… will have this high heat poblem in their tablets (i know because i have the new ipad, and its hot to compare to my asus transformer prime with the same way of usage)…

PEOPLE WILL CASTIGATE THEM SO HARD!!!

But because APPLE say its within our thermal specifications, people WILL BELIEVE AND DEFEND APPLE like a true hero…

Please people, we have to be honest to ourself as we need to tell them that their is problem and they are NOT PERFECT…

Lol@acceptable operating temperatures are arbitrary….even though everything electronic or mechanical from steam engines to xboxs all have operational heat parameters…..

I’m sure acceptable operating temperatures are not arbitrary and based on maximum heat tolerances for the components affected by the heat. I’m sure the engineers at Apple didn’t just pick a number out of thin air.

Excessive heat is never good for components as it leads to premature failure. Acceptable operating temperatures are arbitrary. But if Apple says it’s ok, then it must be, right?

So when the message that comes up and says “iPad is to hot and needs to shut down” we should all assume that is completely normal, and all tablet computers exhibit this behavior under certain circumstances or something. Right Apple?
