Samsung now has a target in its back. HTC is getting behind the “One” and Huawei is mimicking Samsung’s designs. motorola still doesn’t understand that being Verizon’s bitch will not help them gain ground. Eberyone is resigned the iPhone’s string following so Samsung is going ti be the one everyone esle is gunning for.

I think the point of the article is to highlight that a relative newcomer to the market is now the third largest phone maker in the world, and manages to be so with only 3 different models. You don’t have to be an “iSheep” to acknowledge that that’s a hell of an achievement, beating even those manufacturers who have been in the market for many more years.

Hi Pepee63,
You are very much right. I think Slashgear has been paid to highlight this half cut fruit company or apple. Although Nokia’s market share is sliding down but it still managed to hold the first position as we can see from Column chart in the article above, ZTE has also made a noticeable progress and he could not see all that. Unfortunately it seems that Mr. Slashgear has a blindness for other mobile phone makers.

Is there something wrong with this post title? Shouldn’t it be Samsung is number 1 phone world maker. There is nothing special about Apple in this. Too much fanboyism I guess.

Why even mention who is coming third. How pointless is that. That’s akin to ignoring who came first at an olympic marathon race and focusing on the person who came third. The only reason it is brought up in this slashgear story is because it is slashgear’s idol, Apple. If you aren’t first, you lost. That’s the long and the short about it. Samsung is winning now and everyone else is irrelevant. Nice work Slashgear, keep Apple in the news even though they aren’t news.
