My question is why Apple chose to use an obviously “artificial” sounding assistant, when with today’s technology it could have sounded human? Was this to ease our human anxieties over technology taking over? Such that the human users could look down upon the “less than perfect” technology and still feel superior?

Ugh, I have a 4s and love it but why work up Siri on it? I barely even use it! I got it because the A5 chip in it is amazing, they should really push that more.

Jeezus, why do all you iPeople get so butthurt and defensive all the time?
Siri requiring a good internet connection is a very good point. Maybe people like us with decent internet connections can’t relate, but there are lots of places (first world US and EU included) where net speeds, especially cell-related ones, are still pretty bollocks.

The posters above you never mentioned Android even once in his/her sentence.

5-10seconds to search for the basic question. SiRi doesn’t work without internet. That is what they forgot to advertised. Not to mention that it can’t pick up most English accent other than US English and only work in some area.

Beside who would have a conversation with the phone anyway? I would rather my phone do stuff I click and search myself. Google search is easier than use the damn AI

They seem to have forgotten that annoying 10-20 second siri takes to come up with the most basic of answers. Most of the time its just faster to google search
