They are all bad, every company uses the lowest bidder. But how does citing an anonymous commenter's judgment about which are worse do anything? I could say foxxcomm is the worst, nd have just as much validity.

The reason Apple is being targeted is because they made 40 some billion dollars last quarter. They are in the economic position to do something about the conditions, and the general public, fot some unknown reason, believe they can do no evil.

Apple makes mistakes, and lies, and crushes, just like every other major tech company. They have faults. They are not perfect. Each and every company should be weighed by the consumer during the purchase process.

The point I take is that with the profits that Apple makes it can afford to do the "right thing". Its kudos would go up saying we pay more to people making Apple products. However were talking about Apple here and they are only interested in milking as much money from people at all ends of the chain as possible.

Quick question, how many other companies other than Apple are we talking about, or is this article for bashing Apple only?

With regards to what the "Anonymous Comment" says, I've heard things from friends in China that are on the contrary. Many factories actually treat workers better than Foxconn. Fujitsu in particular had some report out in Japan recently about their insistence of certain parts makers in China to give proper working conditions and whatnot. I read it on a printed magazine, so no link to source unfortunately.

Companies like Meizu also seem to be giving their workers a lot more benefits and better working environments compared to Foxconn.

Not saying Foxconn's the worst of the lot, but they're definitely up there according to the stuff I've read. Whether OEM's for companies like Samsung and Dell provide better compared to Apple's Foxconn, I cannot say.

Either way, this matter really deserves more exposure to western consumers. Doesn't matter whether you're a Apple/MS/Samsung lover or hater. At the end of the day, the people working (and potentially suffering) at these plants are human beings just like us. We bleed the same color.
