So, other than a white color option, is there anything different in the new model vs the iPod Touch 4?

Sounds like this article is just listing features rather than upgrades. It is my understanding that the Touch 4 can be upgraded to iOS5 for free. If so, then will it be the same as the new Oct 2011 model?

I think this article needs to be reworked. As is, it is more confusing than informative.

No. The hardware specs will remain the same. Not to mention it already had the retina display and HD video recording, and FaceTime. I’m actually disappointed with the outcome of todays keynote. I was hoping for the iPhone 5 (although I have no intentions of buying one), but I definitely would have purchased an updated ipod touch. They most definitely should have placed the A5 chip in them, as well as the new 8mp camera, but i would assume they didnt want to pull sales away from the iPhone 4s. Especially with its subtle upgrade.
