Apogee MiC 96k is a professional microphone for iPad and iPhone

Apogee has rolled out an update to its MiC professional microphone, a mobile-centric device for those who needed professional-level audio recording on their tablet or smartphone. The MiC 96k is likewise a professional-grade microphone aimed at Apple products: the iPad, iPhone, and Mac. With this latest model comes the ability to make higher-fidelity recordings straight from one's gadget.The microphone can be used for a variety of purposes: to record interview subjects for the professional, to record music recordings for the budding artist, or to record tracks for a video project — anything that requires higher grade recordings than come from a cheap consumer-level microphone. As mentioned, the MiC 96k allows for higher fidelity recordings, this particular model offering up to 24-bit 96kHz, depending on need.The microphone uses a PureDIGITAL connection, and ships with an iOS 30-pin cable, as well as a standard USB cable for Mac users and a handy table-top tripod stand, which you can see in the image above.
