AP announces more private label apps

I am sure that there are many content providers out there who would like to have their own apps for mobile devices but lack the resources to develop an app themselves. The Associated Press (AP) has announced that it is now offering an expanded range of white label apps for its content partners for a range of handheld devices.

According to the AP, about 70 different content providers have adopted the white label apps that the AP offers to leverage the AP mobile platform and the apps have been developed in conjunction with Verve Wireless. The AP also revealed that it is working on private labeled iPad apps as well.

Apps for mobile devices and the iPad use the AP mobile platform, which is a complete publishing solution for content and advertising to monetize that content with no upfront cost for development. The AP is also working on a digital clearinghouse that will provide privacy tools and rights clearance to license content from various publishers.
