AOC launch three new HD displays: 2230Fm, 2218Ph & L42H861

AOC seem to be on a roll with fresh displays, with a further three new models arriving today.  Most interesting, perhaps, is the 2230Fm HD3 display, which combines a 22-inch 1080p LCD with a built-in media player. Plug a memory card or USB stick into either the USB port or 4-in-1 card reader, and you can access any photos or video stored on it through the HD3 menu system.

The screen itself boasts a 20,000:1 contrast ratio and 2ms response time, and there are low profile integrated speakers, analog VGA D-sub or DVI ports, and DVI-D & HDMI with HDCP.

Meanwhile, the 2218Ph is intended to take on Apple's design team, with a zinc and aluminum casing and specifications that AOC are saying will out-perform Cupertino's coveted screens. A 22-inch display with 12,000:1 contrast ratio, 2ms response time, HDMI input and illuminating touch-sensitive controls certainly look good on paper. The panel itself can rotate for portrait or landscape use.

Finally, the L42H861 goes for impressive inches; a full HDTV 1080p 42-inch display, it has a 6,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, Digital ATSC and Clear QAM Tuner, and a viewing angle of more than 176 degrees. AOC are saying that it will produce great pictures not only with new HD channels but also old standard-def favorites. Inputs are horizontal for ease of wall-mounting, and include three HDMI ports, S/PDIF digital audio out, and PC input with audio.

The 2230Fm HD3 will be priced at $399.99, while the 2218Ph has an MSRP of $429.99. The L42H861 will be priced at $999.99.  More details at AOC.
