Google is an ad company, they couldnt care less about the quality of Android as long as it replaces every other OS out there.

So many people do not know that there is a totally free desktop OS that fills the needs of 90% of users. And it comes in flavors like Mint, Ubuntu, Etc. Google is dancing with the guy that brought them to the party, unlike Apple.
