It will happen., just look at what’s happened since the iPad to the iPad mini. iOS is shrinking while Android is growing.

Obviously, the 64% market share was unsustainable for Apple so it was expected to come to an end.

I am wondering if Android will simply crush iOS in the coming years the way it
has happened in the phone market or Apple can resist better.

Strangely, I have both a Nexus 7 and an iPad2, and it’s the Nexus 7 that ends up being used outside more often. It’s just more portable. The iPad just sits in the living room most of the time for the girlfriend to check her mail and social messages. I live in Southeast Asia btw.

The figures are wrong but a long shot. Android dominates the tablet market because nobody counts the trure numbers properly.
And people who complain that they are cheap Chinese units, yes they are. But such is life, there are people in the world that like value for money and are happy not to spend over the odds on products just because they can.

to be frank I used to see only iPads, but starting this year I do see Android tablets around (still less than iPads but there are)

I was having a Temple Run competition with one of my coworkers the other day on my Nexus 7. I also have some guitar tabs saved to my Google Drive that I am using to teach myself to play guitar with. I also like to keep a movie or two saved to the device for car trips.

Big jump, good work. In the end, a small % difference won’t really matter.
We know Windows is huge, we see it everywhere.
What if next month its reported that android marketshare is now at 73%? Then the analysts lied and told you it was actually at 50%. It doesn’t change you :/

What are all these people doing with their tablets then? I’ve never seen an android tablet outside if a store. I’ve only seen iPads.
