of course android seems to be do better, because there are so freaken many, it doesn't mean they are better

example: take a bucket, put two 1million bills inside to resemble the two iphones that exist(iphone 3GS and iphone 4) and then place like 35 $1 bills inside to resemble there being at least 35 android phones and then mix up the money and ask a hand full of strangers to reach inside and grab 1 bill and most would grab a $1 bill just because there are so many compared to there only being two 1million bills

Once again who is dominating who? Chris, my friend... have you taken a look at the huge slice of profits Apple makes in the smartphone market?

Android and Windows will be giving their phones away in 2011... yup, 2 phones for $1 and you all will suck them up thinking you've selected the #1 device because they are selling like hotcakes. WHat you don't realize, that most Apple owners already know, is that we could care less about these numbers. As long as the kinds of people buy Apple that appreciate quality and will buy apps (not expect them to be free, or be happy about them when they are junky 2nd rate ports off the iTunes app store)

Fandroids... seriously... give it up. We don't care who sells more, we just care who builds the better model. Quality, not quantity...

P.S. check out the stock market once in a while and see who's on top. Apple 1, you sad sacks 0

Get a life.

Wow are you a moron or what. Take a look at which company is making more money... not just between Microsoft and Apple, but in the smartphone market.

You people who think quantity is all that matters must have grown up watching NASCAR and being beat by your uncle. Wake up and see that Apple is right where they want to be - NOT the Ford of the smartphone world, but the BMW.

I'll buy the BMW class model every time. You and your sad sister can buy the Ford and claim victory.

SOrry, sola, you fail.

You forget one thing : Jobs is the one who shot down Mac OS's licensing to 3rd-party computer makers at the end or the 90s. Because it was a mess.

Having only 4 products at this time was also his idea. Future prove he was right !
BTW, when Steve was still at Apple, the Mac was doing fine.

The iPhone is strongly headed towards a niche in the smartphone segment. The niche of an expensive, classy, very closed product.

Android will completely dominate the smartphone market by the end of 2011 and iPhone/Apple will be a minor player.

The exact same is happening which happened when Windows ousted the Mac and completely destroyed its markets.

Steve Jobs is not learning at all.

If figures are to be believed, that's a 110M activations per year AND this doesn't even take into account for honeycomb-powered tablets next year! Impressive.
