Google is seeing 300,000 Android phones activated every day, meaning the company is on course for a whopping 10m activations per month. They're the latest figures from Google's Andy Rubin, who took to Twitter to confirm the huge numbers.
It's a 50-percent boost from the last public numbers, which Google CEO Eric Schmidt reiterated back in October, and suggests that rumors Android sales had been stalling are definitely incorrect. In contrast, Apple sold 14.1m iPhone handsets in the last quarter, working out to around half of Google's current activation figures per day.
