Android naming started with Cupcake, and that was with Android v.1.5. Pre-Cupcake Android had no name, just versions 1.0 and 1.1.

I liked the desktop mode on my bionic but we rock desktop mode when you have Ice Cream Sandwich? The desktop mode had a different set of apps and firefox…. ICS has Chrome browser now and a mouse cursor on my Transformer Prime.

Likely just talking about using the xoom with hdmi out and usb inputs.

The only improvement would be if Android can detect that the output device has a higher resolution than the built in screen of a device, and so change what’s reported to apps on the fly.

That way a properly programmed app could go from phone UI to tablet UI when the phone is plugged into a HDTV or monitor.

I would like to see efficient threading of applications. With the proliferation of multi-core devices, i think that the Android OS should be able to handle applications that request multiple cores, instead of offloading it to the CPU. Also, this goes without saying, but larger, multi-channel RAM should be included to maintain the UX amd accompany the GPU for rendering.
