i think its a good sign that we saw the nexus s running ICS because atleast we know now that resolution wont be an issue when porting it to older devices. If i have it before christmas on my galaxy s2 ill be happy

I know what you meant, but isn’t every phone in existent an OEM phone? :P lol but yes, CM is much more reliable and speedy and feature rich than any OEM. CM FTW!

Nexus will of course get the updates as soon as they’re out but the OEM phones have to be screwed with by the OEMs, Hope they just take lesser time to do whatever it is they do to the stock OS. People like me don’t care much anyway, we trust the CM team more than the OEMs.

Well the Nexus phones will get it pretty quick. Any device with a skinned UI will have to wait on HTC, Motorola, etc to release it. That is where the crazy delay is. If you rooted, devs will be all over this release. Flash-addicts get ready ;)

Remains to be seen. I’m sure they’ve learnt a lesson or two from the GB fiasco and standard phones might see speedy updates, but, US customers on carrier phones better not get their hopes too high!
