There were only 4 XOOM that we’re allowed to handle – and probably 200 journalists waiting to get their hands on it. This is the best we can do under the environment. When we get it to review, it’ll be under a controlled environment so expect it to be better.

Looks real great, but come on..! I mean 2 guys grabbing and pressing all over the tablet doesn’t`t give this video any real feel of how it works.. Do a real hands on and in a tempo which shows how it works. But anyway it looks like Honeycomb could be the real killer android OS for tablets.

Want. Even being an Android fan, i have to admit up until now, Android still works and feels very “homebrew”, if you know what I mean. Just doesn’t have the UI or IA spit and polish that iOS does. 2.3 is the first real step towards UI consistency and experience, but it’s far from perfect.

Honeycomb, looks honest to goodness amazing. It’s what I was hoping for years ago with 1.0, but better late then never.

Good to see Google actually caring about UI design, some people do have eyes you know. ;)

Makes sense. At least the tablet manufacturer will now have the opportunity to purchase a license for devices that are not just oversized phones.

I think the device has to have a license from Google for the market. That means now that Google officially recognizes tablets they can get a license for the market however, it does not mean that all manufacturers will get a license to use the marker.

As far as I know, Motorola aren’t confirming launch timescales for anywhere outside of the US. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a European XOOM sometime in Q2 2011 though.

It may be worth asking if Market access will be available on all tablet devices that run 3.0, or if devices still have to be sanctioned specifically by Google to be allowed Marketplace access…
