This Analyst will be disappointed. Sales will be less than 1 Million.

My analysis is as good as analysts analysis quoted in the article. And my reason is, all apple fan already own iPad 3. Those with extra money (or other’s money) will buy another form factor saying it is more portable. But not many Apple fan will buy this product this time.

There is a chance that a non apple fan will buy this but that number won’t be that much high.

What percentage of people regularly use jackets ? Even if they do, do they really love to carry a bulgy item on their pocket? Claims of portability does not bode very well here.

And thanks to apple releasing the ipad mini, nexus 7 and the kindle have most probably sold 5 million. Remember that both nexus and kindle had a huge ramp in sales after people heard about the hardware and price of the mini. That made up their mind quick smart. What’s the bet, by the end of the year, apple tablets will be under 50 percent market share. They have already lost 30% market share since last year. That’s a huge market share loss in anyone’s mind. PS. I still don’t want apple to crumble ( apple crumble, yum) since any competition is good competition. Pps. I still think the latest I pad is a top bit of kit, although the nexus 10 beats it in almost every respect. If the mini came out with retina display, it would almost be worth the money. No doubt apple will bring out a new one in Q 1 or 2 with a better screen, but that will piss off their buyers like the way they brought out the I pad 4 a few months after the 3. You can only screw so much money out of your loyal customers, especially since that loyal group has dwindled year after year.
