AmpliVox unveils portable iPod Wireless SW720 PA System

I have seen all sorts of iPod docks and sound systems before ranging from the mundane to the wild. There are lots of uses in the commercial world for an iPod like showing a video presentation without having to bring a laptop with you among others. Those needing to share content from an iPod with a large crowd might find this new wireless iPod PA system from AmpliVox interesting.

The system has a dock on the top that can play music and other content from most dockable iPods including the touch and iPhone. It also sports a built-in DVD player and remote control and RCA outs to connect to a projector.

The system has a wireless microphone that allows voice over when playing audio or video content and a second wireless mic is supported. A USB port allows direct connection of a laptop or PC. The speaker is an 8-inch full range driver and the PA system runs on a 12V rechargeable battery with up to 4 hours of run time. The SW720 isn't exactly cheap at $1,199 and it is available now.
