I’m sure that by now you’ve heard about the fall of Amp’d Mobile. They recently suggested that customers switch over to the relatively unknown mobile provider Prexar Mobile. Why would a crumbling company so graciously advise their customers to go with another provider? For money of course.

Amp'd Mobile

Apparently Amp’d Mobile has struck a deal with Prexar that will give them a combo payout of cash and stock for their remaining customers. If that weren’t enough, they’re also getting a 25% stake in the company.

So one way or another, Amp’d is going to make back some of that money that they lost on their customers. I just wonder how much of a dent this will put in the huge amount that they owe Verizon.
