The serve card is a nightmare. Got sub accounts for my children. The card is denied 90% of the time. & yes we have called serve weekly-( due too the card being denied ) to make sure we are using the card right & there is available funds. & yes we use it where am-ex is accepted & run it as credit. My son away college needed groceries. It took days for the $ to be approved to use. Then after all that he shopped for groceries & the card was denied. Reason ???? Serve couldn't tell us?!!! This was a reoccurring nightmare with this card! Needless to say I use a different method to make sure my son can get money from me when he needs it.

Why would I want to pay them 2.9% + 30 cents to take my money? I must be missing something. I guess competition is good?

American Express is offering nothing to the customer in terms of enhancements over PayPal. They've entered the space with the pretty much the exact same pricing structure. Yawn.... By comparison, new entrant CashSender.com is the only online payment system that offers payments senders cash back with every payment, payment receivers pay a 2.9% flat fee on all payments (no 30 cent transaction fee, no other add-on fees, no extra fees for business related payments) .. and most importantly ... their online security is miles and miles ahead of PayPal and all the others.
