If you’re looking for the least power-hungry processor that you can get your hands on, the new AMD Sempron 2100+ might not be a bad choice.

AMD Sempron

The new Sempron uses only 9 watts of power, which is far less than some of the other Semprons in AMD’s line that run on 35 or 62 watts. The 2100+ is a 64-bit processor that is clocked at 1GHz.

While this isn’t the lowest power consumption of a processor on the market, you still can’t hardly beat a 64-bit processor using only 9 watts.
