Just read a review of this new 8 core cpu by hot hardware. A current i5 dual core beats it in most benchmarks and power consumption. It's sad.

"best performance per dollar hands down", You can be enthusiastic about AMD but please don't lie. Look at the current i3 benchmarks and AMD's competitor at current pricing.

Keep this in mind...If AMD goes under, you will have to pay Intel gobs of money for a CPU. So you better hope they don't. AMD provides the best performance per dollar hands down. Most all CPU's with 4 or more cores are more then plenty for any game. Gaming performance is heavily (in most cases) determined by your graphics card. More cores does not mean better performance. My AMD Phenom II 925 (quad core) handles everything i throw at it. Gaming and 100% load rendering. (3ds max) For business, a dual core at 3Ghz is plenty for word processing and Excel spreadsheets. Among other things. One of the largest telecommunications companies in Vermont was rocking Core 2 duo's with ATI x1300's (junk). And they get along just fine. Not everyone needs an Intel Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition for $1029.99. Its ridiculous!!! Buy an AMD CPU :)
