Amazon and CBS have announced that they are extending a content agreement that will see more CBS shows head to Amazon Prime Instant Video. The deal will also see some content from Showtime Networks make its way to Amazon's streaming video service as well. Terms of the content deal were not announced.

The extended partnership deal means that Prime Instant Video customers will continue to have access to CBS and Showtime shows like Medium, The Tudors, and the entire Star Trek franchise. The deal will also see some new shows heading to Prime as well.

The new shows include Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, Penn and Teller, and Vegas. The content will be available on all devices that support Prime Instant Video including smartphones, tablets, game consoles, and more. Amazon also announced that it would land some exclusive content in the deal.

A CBS series that will debut this summer called Extant will be offered exclusively for streaming on Prime Instant Video. The episodes will turn up on Prime not long after they air on CBS. This deal is like the one Amazon had with CBS last year for the Under the Dome TV series.
