Alienware is known for their gaming notebooks and computers and they’ve just announced a new version of their M17x notebook called the Nebula Red. While not exactly revolutionary, this new version does add a few features worth noting.

The casing is an anodized red aluminum, adding a sophisticated and sleek look to the device. It also sports a backlit keyboard that lights up with red tinting. This is the default, but you can actually change the light color within the software.

The Nebula Red version of the M17x notebook costs an extra $99 to the $1,799 price tag. The rest of the specs are the same including a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor, a 250GB hard drive, a DVD burner, a 1GB GeForce GTX 260M and 4GB RAM. You can get this new model of the notebook in August.
