The Tee PC by Albatron we wrote about earlier this year has finally hit the FCC. The Tee PC slate-style Tablet PC netbook runs Windows CE on a 7-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen. You can also expect to find a 400MHz ARM926 CPU, 128MB RAM and 128MB of flash storage that may be expanded via an SD card slot.

The FCC has plenty of teardown pictures for you to feast your eyes on. You can choose from your choice of VGA or 1.3-megapixel webcams. Even with a slower processor, this Tee PC is capable of delivering VGA quality video at 30fps, or alternatively H.264 and MPEG4 content. The device also comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 10.8Whr battery.
With netbooks getting smaller and smaller, they may start having competition with this device being just 188 x 113 x 13mm and weighing 343g. In the package there will also be a docking station that comes complete with USB, built-in speakers and audio ports. We can’t wait to get our hands on the Tee PC Tablet PC netbook.

Looking at the spec and the OS, I would like to think this is something quite inexpensive.
In which case, I can see a lot of “other” uses for a device like this especially around the “digtal home” ranging from an internet tablet in the kitchen to a AV control in the den and so on.

Where can I buy one !!!! I’ve tried contacting the supplier without any response – I’d like to see one in the flesh to see how it feels, looks, operates etc
