Despite what Microsoft would have us believe, Vista just loves to suck the life out of you your battery. More specifically, the Aero feature in Vista will kill your battery life very quickly.
Manufacturers such as Lenovo and HP have put in their own power management features just so customers wouldn’t come crying to them because their battery doesn’t last as long as they think it should.
According to Microsoft, they left it up to the manufacturers to make sure the laptops would get the most out of their batteries. I would have thought that Microsoft would have put a little more effort into it. Then again that probably would have just delayed Vista from being launched again.
