AEE S60 Plus action cam shoots FHD video, 16MP stills

The action camera market is dominated by a few big-name companies, but that doesn't mean there aren't options beyond them. A number of other makers offer their own miniature adventure-ready cameras, one of which is AEE. Joining its existing action cams is the S60 Plus, a new camera AEE introduced in recent days. It has the same small body we've come to expect from action cameras, as well as a number of other features, including Full HD video recording, 16 megapixel still images, and support for various accessories.

The S60 Plus action camera is able to record 60fps footage at 1080P resolution; it has a 130-degree FOV lens and a 2-inch detachable display, as well as a waterproof housing for use in water to depths of 130 feet. The camera weighs about 2.5 ounces, and has a 1250mAh internal battery good for up to 180 minutes of video recording per charge.

The still image functionality includes interval shots for time lapse videos; up to 30 second intervals are supported. In addition, there's a burst mode that supports up to 8 shots per second. Device control, meanwhile, comes via an Android or iOS device and the related mobile app. The WiFi has a working range up to 328 feet.

The action cam comes bundled with various accessories, including the aforementioned waterproof housing, a quick release mount and flat adhesive mount, plug bracket, anti-fog and tether insert, curved adhesive mount, and a micro USB charging cable. The camera is available now for $250 USD.
