I AM reading this review on a Vega (Dreambook in Australia). I would have to say that the reviewer hit the nail on the head. The display is terrible (bright, but viewing angle is not good, and the highly reflective screen is a pain). More of concern is an out of the box experience that leaves you feeling like something is missing…. and there is a lot missing. I sell these things for a living, and in all honesty,, without some tech tweaking in our workshp, I would not sell this item in its release form. User friendly was obviously not in the design specs.

I think this is fair. I like my Vega but it is less than polished.

But the take up means that its future is bright.

Having read this review I was thinking ooopps I nearly purchased a white elephant BUT some of you guys seem to think its got potential.

WHat I need is a decent sized tablet that I can use remote access software (team viewer if I can negotiate a sensible price) so I can provide installation support for our range of cutters.

I can access my email and also our support site where users create tickets if they need help or sales info.

Anything above that is a bonus so will this fit the bill??

I dont mind installing third party roms as I enjoy playing!

I’m a mainstream user with very little tech knowledge, and managed to install the ROM in about an hour or so. It’s not that difficult and having the market on the vega is a marked improvement!

Sounds like if you want a cheap android tablet with decent build quality, A rooted Nook Color is the way to go..
