Adobe Comp CC for iPad makes concept creation mobile

Adobe has announced the launch of Adobe Comp CC for the iPad, allowing such users to put together concepts for projects using their tablet. Those concepts can be for the Web, for mobile, or for printed projects, and are made using various layout and design tools that allow for a relatively refined creation. The resulting project can then be further refined using other Adobe CC tools, such as Photoshop CC and InDesign CC, to produce a final product. Adobe previewed Comp CC back in October 2014 as "Project LayUp", and as of today it is available for free on the App Store.

You can quickly get a feel for the software by watching the video below — it can be used to quickly put together a website concept, for example, which is later synced to a desktop for future work. There's brushes, text tools, images, colors, and more — support for Creative Profile and Creative Cloud Libraries is there, as you'd expect from an Adobe CC app.

The app works as a brainstorming tool, only with far more robust features than you get from most of the similar apps out there. Adobe promises that the projects include "a rich history feature" and all the particulars in a single source file, a simplicity coupled with simple touch-based functionality for moving through menus and tools.

The app is available for Apple devices running iOS 7.1 or later, and works with the iPad, obviously. It is 60MB in size, and is available in fifteen different languages, including the commonly support European roster, Russian, Turkish, and more. Check out the timeline below for more Adobe news!
