If you’re a Wii owner and picked up a copy of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, you probably noticed that the sound output options weren’t exactly up to snuff. If that’s the case, you likely sent off your disc and were forced to be without your game for much longer than you’d like. Don’t worry though, Activision has your back, as you’ll be getting something extra special with your disc.

In addition to getting a remastered Guitar Hero III disc, you’re also going to get a pretty sweet faceplate for your guitar. Sure, it won’t bring back the weeks of missed playtime, but you’ll be twice as cool as your friends.

It’s good to see that Activision stepped up and took care of their customers here. I was a bit concerned that the Wii owners were getting the short end of the stick. While that’s mostly true, a cool faceplate certainly goes a long way in saying “we’re sorry.”

What about us UK gamers, we can’t even get a replacement disc let alone freebies.
