Yesterday we brought you news of the keyboard attachment for your Xbox 360 controller. Today we have a few pictures of said accessory in use.

From the pictures it looks like you might have to worry about the keyboard getting in the way of your gameplay or accidentally hitting keys. But you never know until you actually hold on in your hands. The keyboard is obviously small, but as I said before, if you’ve ever used a slide-out keyboard on a phone before, you shouldn’t have any trouble with this.

You may notice from the pictures that your standard headset won’t be able to plug in. It has been said that the unit will ship with a new headset. There’s also no reason that your wireless headsets won’t work either. Still no official word on when this will hit the streets.

WTF!!! TALK ABOUT OVERKILL!! JUST PLUG YOUR KEYBOARD TO THE 360 VIA USB, THATS WHAT I DO (AND I’M SURE EVERYBODY HAS FIGURED THIS OUT BY NOW) DID MICROSOFT NOT LEARN ANYTHING FROM THE FIRST XBOX THAT (AT FIRST) SCARED EVERYONE AWAY WITH ITS OVERLY MASSIVE GODZILLA CONTROLLERS. 360 CONTROLLER IS GOOD AS IT IS, IF IT AIN’T BROKE, DON’T FIX IT. BUT THE D-PAD NEEDS SOME WORK THOUGH..HMMMM…

Really not a bad idea. Sure it is not as efficient as a keyboard for instant messaging but it is wireless, allows quick access during gameplay, AND doesn’t take up a lot of space sitting there on your coffee table. I don’t know about a lot of people but having a 10′ cord laying across your living room sticking out of your 360 and having a huge PC keyboard sitting on your living room table where drinks and everything else goes is either a disaster waiting to happen (especially if you have children) or at least a terrible eye sore.
Sure this may not be for everyone, I probably won’t get one, but I could see how this add-on could really be usefull for a lot of players. Perhaps there might be games released in the future that supports some of its features. Does look well built from the pictures, almost thought it was a completely different controller at first.

Games consoles evolve, and with adding more features, it could be a better value to consumer

How much do you think this little addition will cost?
