Acer XB280HK monitor combines 4K and G-SYNC

Acer has introduced a new 4K monitor, this one bringing with it NVIDIA's G-SYNC technology. According to the maker, this is the first 4K display to include NVIDIA's tech, the combination of which is promised to give gamers "ultra-smooth, tear-free imagery."

The Acer XB280HK monitor measures in at 28-inches, and offers an LED backlight and resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. There's 170/170 degree viewing angles for easy viewing from various angles. Four USB 3.0 ports and DisplayPort v1.2 are all included with the set.

The stand allows for tilt from -5 to 35-degrees, and has 120-degree rotation. The inclusion of G-SYNC matches the monitor's refresh rate to the GPU for minimal stutter and lag, as well as no screen tearing.

Rounding it all out is environmentally-friendly construction, with the device being free of both arsenic and mercury, and offering ENERGY STAR qualified specs for conservative energy usage. The model is set to begin shipping in Q2. No word yet on pricing.
