Acer has become the latest manufacturer to announce a multitouch-capable LCD monitor suitable for use with Windows 7. The Acer T230H is, at 23-inches, slightly larger than its Dell and HP counterparts, but offers the same Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. It recognizes one- and two-finger gestures, such as pinch-zoom and chiral-rotate, and has VGA, HDMI and DVI inputs.
There's also a USB port for hooking up the touch functionality to your PC and 1.5W stereo speakers. Brightness is 300 cd/m2 while contrast is 80,000:1 (dynamic); response time is 2ms and the whole thing can tilt 5/15 degrees as well as swivelling. It'll apparently land in Europe imminently, priced at €349 ($513); no word on a US price, but considering it's listed on the Acer US site we'd say a launch there is definite.
