Acer Liquid E600, E700 phones arrive in Q3

Acer introduced some new products yesterday, among them being a new pair of smartphones: the Acer Liquid E600 and E700. Both smartphones are similar in features and design, with the E700 obviously being the higher-end model of the two. Among other things, both smartphones — which hit shelves in the third quarter of this year — offer 5-inch IPS displays.

The Liquid E600 boasts LTE category 4 connectivity with downloads up to 150Mbps, as well a rear 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 and AcerRAPID software. This works alongside Live Screen, which allows the smartphone owner to invite friends to a temporary live sharing group. Also included with the E600 model is AcerFLOAT, a UI for multi-tasking that offers several app windows.

The Liquid E700 model, meanwhile, boasts a very long battery life, with the 3500mAh battery bringing users up to 24 hours of talk time or 60 hours of standby, as well as 100 hours of music or 12 hours of video streaming. This is accompanied by the use of Zero Air gap tech for reduced reflections on the display and, by proxy, increased view quality.

The E700 model will ship with Android KitKat, a quad-core processor, 4GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot. More specific details on the two phones, such as processors, memory, connectivity, and the lot haven't yet been revealed, nor has pricing.
