Acer Iconia Tab A700: 1920x1200 and Tegra 3 for $449.99

The Acer Iconia Tab A700 hasn't been a very well kept secret, but the pricing and availability of the tablet has consistently eluded the general public. Wonder no more, as Acer has finally let slip exactly what you'll be paying for the 32GB model of the tablet: $449.99. For your money you'll be getting a 10-inch screen with a 1920x1200 resolution, a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, and Ice Cream Sandwich.

Acer say the screen features support for 10-point multitouch, has a contrast ratio of 800:1, and viewing angles up to 178 degrees. Other niceties include the aforementioned 32GB of internal storage, plus a microSD card slot for further expansion, along with microUSB and microHDMI ports.

Packed inside the tablet is a 9,800mAh battery that Acer say is good for up to 10.5 hours of video playback, or 8 hours of web browsing. WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 radios are on board. There's also a five megapixel camera on the back for all the occasions that you use your tablet as a dedicated shooter, and a one megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

Two models will be on offer for pre-order starting from today, one in silver and one in black. If you like what's on offer, have your $449.99 ready as you head over to Acer's website or other internet retailers.
