Acer Aspire TimelineX Calpella notebooks debut March 22nd

Remember yesterday's Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T leak, the first of the company's so-called Calpella series using Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors we've been hearing about lately?  According to DigiTimes' sources, we shouldn't have to wait too long to find out about its siblings; the rest of the TimelineX line is expected to get official on March 22nd, with 13, 14 and 15-inch models.

That's ahead of Taiwanese-specific availability on March 30th, apparently, according to Acer Taiwan's president Simon Lin.  The range will pair the style – and slim build – of the existing CULV-based Timeline range with the more potent Intel Calpella processors, answering criticisms of poor performance.  However, larger batteries will ensure that battery life across the TimelineX series hovers around the same eight hour period as before.
