Acer Aspire One D255 Now Available in the US

As of this week, Acer has officially made available the Aspire One D255 in the United States. Originally uncovered at the beginning of July this year, the new netbook is one of the earliest to feature Intel's 1.5GHz Atom N550 dual-core processor. While the specifications of the new netbook may seem familiar with others on the market, it's the dual-core chip inside that Acer believes will give it enough of a performance boost amidst the other single-core netbooks already available.

Other features of the new netbook feature a 10.1-inch display. It features Intel's integrated GMA 3150 graphics, as well as 1GB of DDR3 RAM. You also get integrated 802.11 n WiFI. The hard drive comes in a 250GB capacity. And, as Acer netbook fans have already learned over the years, the new Aspire One D255 has a long-lasting battery, with an estimated life of 8 hours. And if you're a fan of color options, the new netbook has a few to choose from: Aquamarine, Brown, Black, or Red. It's available right now, and it will only cost you $330.
