Acer Aspire One D250 "Slimline" netbook official

Acer Europe have officially launched the Acer Aspire One D250, the slimline version of the company's 10.1-inch netbook.  The D250 includes a choice of Atom N270 or N280 processors, optional 3G connectivity, and dimensions of 258.5 x 184 x 25.4mm.

The Acer Aspire One D250 has up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM, a 1024 x 600 WSVGA display, 2.5-inch 160GB hard-drive and multiformat card reader.  There's also WiFi b/g, a 0.3-megapixel webcam, optional Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and a choice of triband or quadband UMTS/HSPA modems.

The keyboard is 89-percent of standard-side, the trackpad responds to multitouch gestures, and three battery options are available: a 2200mAh 3-cell unit good for up to 3.15hrs, a 4400mAh 6-cell unit good for up to 6hrs, or a 5200mAh 6-cell good for up to 7.5hrs.  Weight with the 3-cell is 1.11kg, while with the 6-cell it's 1.27kg.

Ports include three USB 2.0, VGA output, audio in/out and ethernet, and the D250 is available in red, blue or black.  OS is Windows XP Home.  It's available to order from Amazon Germany now, priced at €379 ($502).
