Acer’s 10-inch Aspire One has gone up for pre-order on US site J&R, ahead of its presumed February release. The model listed is the Acer Aspire One AOD150, with four color versions available: black, white, red and blue. Each has the Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 160GB hard-drive, together with the 6-cell battery.
That would seem to suggest that it is the US version of the European D150-1B, Acer’s mid-range new Aspire One, which has a larger battery than the entry-level netbook but lacks the integrated 3G and Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz processor. Other specs include WiFi b/g, a webcam, Intel GMA 950 graphics, Windows XP and a multi-format memory card reader.
The four color variants are all priced at $349.99, making them a little cheaper than direct currency conversions of the European models might suggest. J&R don’t list a shipping date, only that the netbook is “coming soon”.
