Acer Aspire 5755 notebook debuts in UK

Acer unveiled a new notebook last week that will land in the UK soon called the TravelMate 8481. Today Acer has another new notebook for geeks that will be landing in the UK soon called the Aspire AS5755. The new notebook isn't an ultraportable like the one last week. The new rig sports a standard size 15.6-inch display that has a native resolution of 1366 x 768.

The notebook uses LED backlighting with Acer CineCrystal tech with 200 nits brightness. The machine can be had in configurations with several different Core processors from Intel. The processors include the Core i3-2310M, core i5-2410M, and a couple Core i7 parts including the 2820QM and the 2620M. The notebook has up to 8GB of RAM inside and offers available storage up to 1TB.

Buyers can option the machine with a Blu-ray player or a DVD drive. Graphics for the machine come from the NVIDIA GT 540M with Optimus tech. Other features include WiFi and Bluetooth onboard. The notebook measures 15" x 9.96" x 0.99-1.30" and weighs 5.74 pounds with the 6-cell battery. You can get the machine now for £899 with VAT.
