Have the hd7 its lovely phone. I have used IOS and android (had actually wanted to buy the desire HD when I spotted this device and had a little play around with it.)
If you are open minded and not blinded by brand loyalty try it out and am sure any honest being will admit Microsoft is onto something with wp7.

I have several friends that work at T-Mobile, using every kind of phone imaginable. My favorites are naturally the Vibrant, the Nexus One, and the G2. So today, I went to the T-Mobile store today, determined to get a G2 to replace my slow but great little Samsung Behold II, because after using the MyTouch 4G I wanted to throw up at how bad it feels to use.

So I wandered over to the WP7-equipped HTC HD7 and picked it up. Then something happened - I woke up on the street staring at this thing and I haven't been able to put it down since.

I'm flabbergasted at this thing. The WP7 software is brilliant, the facebook integration is amazing, the app store is sufficient, and the list goes on. I have always though that the XBOX 360 and it's attending marketplace and Xbox Live system were the best and only truly excellent things that Microsoft has ever made, but this phone has just been added to that list.

I love mine, and I wish them luck. I never thought the iOS interface on the iPhone would feel so stale and annoying, but after a few minutes with this you really don't want to use your iPhone. Who knows, maybe the honeymoon will wear off, but I surely am having an easy time with this and I am just beside myself with surprise.

I don't have a Windows 7 phone, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express. No, my SIM card died and had the chance to play with a Windows 7 phone for a few minutes. I have both an iPhone and a Droid (one is a work phone), and it has a completely different feel to it. I would honestly say it seems more polished easily than Android and even the iOS. It really comes down to how you're going to use the device. The big problem for me in terms of migration to a Windows 7 phone is storage and music playback. For me, I have over 16GB of music (I love music) and would easily overfill the Windows 7 phone. I tried out my headphones that work on the iPhone, and I couldn't get it to control the music (can't remember if even play/pause worked). With the iPhone, if you have the right headphones, you can play, pause, next track, previous track, and bring up the voice commands all from one button. HOWEVER, navigating the music application for me is a pain in the butt.

Here's my recommendations:
Android: You like to customize your stuff and have variations of hardware. Also, if you want free turn-by-turn navigation, this is the place for it. The limitations are the manufacturer's support of your devices for upgrades is spotty, though, and sometimes performance is as well.
iOS: You need more storage than 16GB, and like the ability to control music playback through your headphones is a must. You also like to know that your device will be upgraded and not dependent on carrier limitations and tinkering. If you have a Mac, this is a perfect fit.
Windows 7 Phone: You have an XBox and a Windows computer. You also like music a lot, use the screen to control the device, and have or are interested in the Zune Pass. You're okay with the limitations the device has in terms of storage (and SD card lockdown). Copy and paste will be added soon, but the lack of multitasking may be a drawback.

At first, I thought you were joking. But, I'm starting to think you aren't at all. Which has me confused, considering there are three links, in the very first paragraph, that will take you to the three previous articles on the HTC HD7, Windows Phone 7, and my week long experience with the device.

So... No, this article is the length it needs to be. If you want to see more, I suggest you take a look at the links.

So out of everything it had this is all you would write about? Shouldn't you be writing an article on the entire phone? I mean if this is going to be a featured article, at least tell us more about the phone. You told us about 1 feature, then take it to a wrap-up. Makes no sense at all. I like your enthusiasm, but honestly this should of been much longer of an article.

I've been using iOS since it came out, I was kinda bored with it so I tried Android. Honestly I really don't understand what the hype is all about. Android is like a Jailbroken iPhone with a different skin! and it doesn't look or work as well as the iOS!
But I'm really curious about Windows Phone 7, it looks very elegant which is a good change from iOS and iOS wanna-bes. I like Samsung because I've seen the gorgeous LEDs on the Galaxy, so I might get one of those.

Much much better than win mobile 5, 6.1, and 6.5 but almost everything else bests previous win mo stuff. For me, loving both iOS and Android, the HD7 just didn't do enough. I was/am an iPhone user from August 07, not long after launch, have a 3G and 3GS. Early this year I was feeling bored and decided to try a Nexus One, had a Vibrant Galaxy S, and now trying the HTC Glacier/MyTouch4G, of which, the MT4G has been the best Android phone I've used except for being a bit overly fu-fu non-stock Android. I share my internet with one of the 4gen iPod touches so I still have my iOS apps and can even face time over cell network.

The HD7 I picked up on my lunch break didn't even make it past supper time and it had to go back launch-day. The feel of the hardware was a big part, but I came away disappointed with what the HD7 didn't do in comparison to iOS and Android phones. They're definitely on the right track with the OS user experience, and if this was your first smartphone- you'll probably love it. With so many app options and choices on iOS and Android- MS needs to do more. I was loving the thought of XBOX Live integration, but again just felt it didn't do enough for me.

To each their own, and I love to see more QUALITY choices out there to force future options and competition between handsets. WinPhone7 is a good start, but we should have seen this from MS two-ish years ago.

Keep improving it MS, I'll still consider you down the road.

Cheers,
