A-DATA have announced a new solid-state drive, the A-DATA 2.5-inch SATA-II SSD 300 Plus. Equipped with the company’s latest controller design, the drive reportedly increases data-reading rates by 40-percent and write-rates by 60-percent compared to a standard SSD.
That amounts to sustained read-rates of 250MB/sec and write-rates of 160MB/sec. The SSD 300 Plus also has a 64MB chunk of mobile SDRAM acting as a cache buffer, offering speedy access to frequently-demanded data.
A-DATA will be offering the 2.5-inch SATA-II SSD 300 Plus in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities. We’re waiting to hear back from the company on availability and pricing.
