Here we are again with another week in review, let’s jump right in. A new 160GB Apple TV has popped up with better integration with iTunes 9. This is a good thing, I have one season of Heroes in HD on my 40GB unit and the thing is almost full. Samsung unveiled a new home theater projector this week called the P410M. With football season now going, a projector is a great way to watch the game with life-size players, assuming your room is large enough.

Sony Ericsson’s Pureness cellphone has been confirmed for the UK, but the company is not going for the usual pile-’em-high strategy.  Instead, when the handset – which has a translucent-display – arrives in November, would-be buyers will need to trek to Selfridges and design museum shops; that’s because, according to SE spokesperson Cathy Davies, the Pureness is an “iconic niche product, not mass market.”

Well they say time files when you are having fun, but they never mention how fast time flies when you are typing your fingers to bleeding nubs to bring your wonderful readers all the gadget news fit to print and then some. Here we are again with another week in review for your reading pleasure. Spotify hit iPhone and Android devices this week. So many people grabbed the app that the free service quickly went back to invite only status. Sony unveiled a super-thin new wireless HDTV this week that makes Paris Hilton look fat by comparison. I am almost afraid to find out what the thin and feature packed set will cost.

Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA Pureness managed to split opinion last week, with some reckoning that the clear-display candybar was a triumph of design and new materials, while others dismissed it as a gimmick.  No matter the camp, though, we’ll always welcome new images, and so SE-First’s hands-on gallery and video with the XPERIA Pureness is a must-see.

Sony Ericsson"released the X2 yesterday, but it looks like they couldn't let things go on a good note. Well, maybe not a good note. Let's call it a rational note. After seeing this video of the XPERIA Pureness, we're not sure what to think. There's definitely some interesting aspects to it, but just one look at the phone, and you've got to tell yourself that the cost is surely going to outweigh any feature set this device could have.
