Here we are again with another week in review, let’s jump right in. A new 160GB Apple TV has popped up with better integration with iTunes 9. This is a good thing, I have one season of Heroes in HD on my 40GB unit and the thing is almost full. Samsung unveiled a new home theater projector this week called the P410M. With football season now going, a projector is a great way to watch the game with life-size players, assuming your room is large enough.

Seagate have announced their latest media player, the 1080p-capable FreeAgent Theater+, and if you’ve already bought into – or are willing to adopt – the company’s FreeAgent Go USB hard-drives then it might be a straightforward way to get digital content on your HDTV.  The FreeAgent Theater+ adds HDMI, ethernet and both Dolby Digital and DTS 2.0 audio to the original Theater, as well as a whole flood of supported codecs.

Seagate revealed a bit more than they might have intended today by posting up information about their 640GB FreeAgent Go on their website. And actually, this is pretty big news, as it’s one of the first drives to exceed 500GB, at least for external storage, that is.

For those that don’t know, eSATA is a version of the SATA connector that works externally, allowing you the same speeds of an internal drive with all the hassle of USB, except it requires a separate power cord. Bus powered refers to ability to transfer the necessary amount of power to operate the drive over the single connection, much like a lot of the newer bus-powered external USB hard drives.
