LG have confirmed that they are planning follow-up versions of their LG GD910 watch phone, though it’s unclear whether an entirely new model is on the cards.  Speaking at a launch event for the LG GW620 Android smartphone this week, the company’s UK sales and marketing director, John Barton, revealed that “more styles” of watch phone were in the pipeline, together with a non-keyboard Android handset for 2010.

LG have announced that they will be offering a Snapdragon-based Android smartphone in Q2 2010.  The device - which will initially be available in the Korean market - has not yet been named, and LG are keeping full specifications close to their chest, but according to the company's VP of electronics, it will be a "more mature" device than the LG GW620 Eve which went on sale in Canada this week.

Remember the LG GW620, the QWERTY slider Android smartphone that rocked up with its own mini-site last week?  The handset has now made its way to Canada for a debut as the Rogers Wireless LG Eve, promising a Social Network Services (SNS) Manager that pulls together Twitter, Facebook and Bebo updates, a 5-megapixel autofocus camera and – stealing a jump on the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 – automatic face recognition tying images into contacts entries.

lg gw620 eve android smartphoneSome in-depth sleuthing of LG’s website has thrown up details of an unannounced Android device from the company, the LG GW620.  Tipped to support UMTS/HSDPA and GPRS (though with no sign of which bands it supports), the GW620 also has a QWERTY keyboard and a half-VGA 320 x 480 display that we presume is a touchscreen.

Interestingly, the handset has also been spotted previously by Cellpassion at the WiFi Alliance [pdf link], where it went by the name of the LG Eve.  They had no other details – at the time it was unknown that the Eve was to be an Android device – but its presence on a testing site does indicate that the GW620 may be close to release.
