Sleek Audio have impressed us in the past with their range of high-end off-the-shelf and custom earphones, and now the company is circling back with a new, entry-level model. The Sleek Audio SA-1 earphones have customizable tuning, just as their SA-6 counterparts, but come in at a bargain $79.99 rather than $249.99.

Sleek Audio’s CT6 custom earphones have always been unique – after all, they manufacture them to molds taken from each buyer’s ear-canals – but now they’ve added another degree of customization for those who like to stand out.  The Sleek Audio CT6 Aura are the same custom-made hypoallergenic earbuds, but now laced with phosphoresce that means they glow in the dark.

When we reviewed the Sleek Audio SA6 earphones last October, there was no disguising how positively we felt about the customizable in-ear monitors. So, when Sleek told us that we could expect the same and more from their custom-molded earphones, the freshly-rebranded CT6 Customs, and offered to fit us for them while at CES back in January, we couldn’t resist trying them out. It’s been a while since our SA CT6 Customs arrived; have they lived up to expectations?

DigiFi have announced their latest wireless audio products, based on Kleer’s lossless technology.  The Digital Opera S2 and iPod-compatible Digital Opera S5 each come with a wireless transmitter dongle; the S2’s plugs into a standard 3.5mm headphone socket, while the S5’s uses an iPod’s dock connector and supports remote-control.

If you’ve spent any time here at SlashGear you’ll probably know that we’re big fans of Sleek Audio.  We rated their SA6 in-ear monitor earphones highly, then their W-1 Kleer wireless adapter took a successful product and cut the cord.  At CES last week we stopped by the Sleek stand to check out their Customs, individually made based on silicon moulds of your ears, for a perfect fit.  At $300 they’re the current pinnacle of the Sleek Audio range; after the cut, we let the company fire gunk into our ears.

DigiFi’s first-generation Digital Opera headphones have only just gone on sale in the US, but the company has brought their replacement to CES this week. As well as that, they’ve also unveiled a set of over-the-air headphones and a PMP watch with an integrated Kleer wireless transmitter.

If the lossless wireless sound offered by Sleek Audio’s W-1 adapter appeals, but your budget doesn’t exactly stretch to the $320 the company asks for a set of SA6 earphones and the wireless system, DigiFi’s Digital Opera earphones may fit the bill.  First announced back in May, up until now the earphones had only been available in Korea; now, Kleer themselves are offering them – together with other products using their lossless technology – in the US.

Some of the audio kit we’ve been most impressed with this year has been the high-end headphones coming out of Sleek Audio.  Back in October their SA6 In-Ear Monitor Earphones blew us away with their customisable sound, then the following month the company’s W-1 Kleer Wireless System showed that cutting the cord needn’t mean cutting quality.  Now Sleek Audio have given us one of their SA6 Wireless Bundles, together with a second set of SA6 Earphones, to give away to two lucky SlashGear readers.
