Logitech have announced their latest Guitar Hero peripheral, a wireless controller for the Xbox 360.  Like the company’s existing guitar controller for PS2 and PS3, the new Xbox 360 version has a wood neck, rosewood fingerboard and metal frets.

Logitech have announced a guitar controller for the PlayStation, licensed by Activision for their Guitar Hero series.  The Logitech Wireless Guitar Controller for PS3 and PS2 has a wood neck and body, plus a rosewood fingerboard and metal frets, while its wireless system offers up to 30ft of range.

After their Korean cousins flaunted it yesterday, Samsung USA and Sprint have officially announced the Instinct S30, follow-up to the best-selling Instinct touchscreen phone.  The Samsung Instinct S30 has a 3.2-inch touchscreen, 2-megapixel camera, GPS and Bluetooth 2.0, as well as the Opera Mini 4.2 browser, speech-control (which Sprint are calling Speech to Action) and a new on-screen QWERTY keyboard.

While some gamers are busy enjoying themselves with Guitar Hero: World Tour, which launched on Monday, others are experiencing huge problems with drum sensitivity.  In some cases undersensitive, in others oversensitive, the only common theme is frustration.  Now publisher Activision has announced a fix to allow the sensitivity of individual drum and cymbal pads to be tweaked; however it’s not the in-game simple fix many might have hoped.

The first Guitar Hero: World Tour feedback is coming in, after the game was officially released yesterday, and it’s a mixed bag.  Some gamers are reporting poor drum synchronization when playing in band mode, with problems calibrating the drum response to the rest of the instruments.  There are also some sporadic claims of poor quality control, with some of the drum pads failing to recognize hits.

We’ve been hearing about it for so long, it’s almost a surprise that it hasn’t already been released.  Still, today’s the day and Activision have announced that the much-anticipated Guitar Hero: World Tour has hit shelves.  New instruments, new online and offline play modes and, of course, new tracks add up to what will probably be a key holiday must-have.  Not only is Guitar Hero: World Tour itself available, but bundle sets including the new wireless instruments.

Logitech have set out to show Starpex that they’re not the only people who can make a more realistic, wooden controller for Guitar Hero, with the launch of their Premiere Edition Wireless Guitar.  Licenced by Guitar Hero publisher Activision, the controller has a wooden neck, a rosewood fingerboard and metal frets and tuners.  Integrated 2.4GHz wireless gives it a 30ft range.
