If you fancy a new phone from AT&T, but aren’t too fussed about Windows Mobile 6.5, then the carrier has four more options for you to choose from.  Left to right you’re looking at the Samsung Mythic, the Samsung Flight and the Pantech Reveal, which offer differing combinations of full touchscreen and hardware keyboard.  Meanwhile there’s also the Pantech Impact, not pictured, with an OLED touchscreen and full QWERTY.

With Windows Mobile 6.5 set to make its official debut tomorrow, Tuesday October 6th, AT&T have outed a couple of new smartphones based on the Microsoft OS.  They’re not unfamiliar devices, however; the AT&T HTC Pure is the carrier’s re-shelled HTC Touch Diamond2, while the AT&T HTC Tilt 2 is their HTC Touch Pro2.  As well as the updated OS, each handset has 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth.

I’m just going to unzip my honesty trousers and say I’m jealous: mere hours after reporting that the AT&T Tilt will go on sale in the US tomorrow (for the princely sum of $299.99 with a two-year contract, natch), I find out that ZDNet’s Matthew Miller has been playing with the smartphone for almost a week. Some things are plain unfair. Anyway, Matthew has not only grown to appreciate the Tilt’s myriad talents, he’s even come to appreciate AT&T by proxy.

You may have seen picture upon picture of the AT&T Tilt, but have you smelt it?  No!  So come October 5th (that’s tomorrow, as of my writing this, or yesterday if you’re reading it on Saturday) stumble maniacally down to your nearest store and grab one; that’s not exactly the message AT&T are going with, but at the end of the day the important thing is that for the grand sum of $299.99 and a cellular marriage of two years they’ll give you HTC’s latest WM6 smartphone.

A picture speaks a thousand words, so here’s 5,000 for you right here.  It’s a good job, really, because while we’ve these pretty new photos of the AT&T Tilt (aka the HTC Kaiser, aka the HTC TyTN II) there’s still not too much in the way of fresh information.  What we do have is a hint that AT&T will be launching the smartphone on October 1st, that is has Windows Mobile 6 and Push-to-Talk.

So, not only is this phone feature packed and cool as hell, but it’s coming to the US via AT&T. HTC calls it the Kaiser, but, for reasons more than obvious in the picture, AT&T calls it the “Tilt”.
