Ah, the elusive ASUS Eee PC T101MT, the multitouch convertible 10.1-inch netbook that just refuses to arrive.  ASUS have uploaded a new tutorial video to YouTube, demonstrating the T101MT's interface, which certainly seems to suggest that the netbook is on its way.  However, somewhat bizarrely we couldn't actually spot any multitouch gestures demonstrated, only single-finger ones.

Asus has a dizzying array of netbooks in its line and many of the machines are virtually identical. Asus seams dead set on having a netbook to meet each and every need of a user. The company has today unveiled a slightly beefed up version of that 1005PE netbook that we spied back in December called the Eee 1005PE-H.

ASUS have quietly added a new Eee Top all-in-one touchscreen nettop, complete with Intel’s new Pine Trail CPUs.  The ASUS Eee Top ET1610PT – and its non-touchscreen ET1610P sibling – both use Intel’s Atom D410 processor, paired with up to 2GB of RAM and a 160GB hard-drive.

Another week has passed and brought with it lots of cool new gear and the requisite number of new Apple rumors. Welcome to this week’s Week in Review. I suspect that the guys at Google who pick the names of the Android OS versions may have been dieting when they started to name Android updates after tasty treats. We learned that the next Android version may be called frozen yogurt. Doesn’t quite roll off the tongue.

One of the big problems with many netbooks that launched last year was that they lacked the graphics muscle to handle the HD content many users prefer. At CES 2009, we first caught wind of the NVIDIA Ion platform for netbooks and other devices. It took a while for the machines to finally come to market, but when they did they came in bunches.

ASUS made little fanfare about their EeePC Touch Series Tablet at CES 2010, leaving it tucked away in a cabinet at NVIDIA’s booth, but the latest rumors suggest that they’ll be doing all that at Computex 2010 in June.  According to DigiTimes’ industry sources, the tablet will be known as the Eee Pad and it will indeed use NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 chipset.

Asus was showing off all sorts of new gear at CES last week in Vegas. Today we get some specifications on a new EeeTop all-in-one computer called the ET2010PNT and it looks really cool. I like the carbon fiber style stand that the monitor sits on.

ASUS managed to put together one of the more interesting CES 2010 press conferences, thanks to their Bang & Olufsen laptop collaboration and Waveface concept, but curiously they didn’t make mention of the much-rumored Eee Tablet.  However that’s not to say the touchscreen device wasn’t on show; both Carrypad and jkkmobile discovered a Tegra 2 based slate described as the ASUS Eee PC Touch Series at NVIDIA’s stand.

ASUS’ Eee Box EB1501 was already standing out as a potentially decent HTPC, and the company have added another feather in its metaphorical cap by apparently introducing a Blu-ray version.  Announced back in October 2009 with Intel’s Atom 330 CPU, NVIDIA Ion graphics and a slot-loading DVD burner, the new Eee Box EB1501-Bo367 with Blu-ray is now showing up with several European online retailers.

Asus is the company that started the netbook craze when it unveiled its Eee netbooks a few years back. The little machines were soon on the market in droves and Asus rode the notoriety of the netbook to bring its other notebooks and gear into the mainstream in America.
