Technically they said “MIGHT even include access to streaming content from cable and sport providers” so if theres no guarantee of the services coming yet we cant calculate them into the overall costs. In which case one would be losing money. Regardless if your a gamer strapped for cash and still dont have a 360 this still is a good deal.

i thought the same thing. It is a good deal if the 360 were in the middle of its life cycle but given the new console is coming out in a year, this sounds like a way for them to clear out inventory. And the people signing up will be “stuck” with it while the new one drops half way through their contract lol.

No thanks. They might be planning to offer the next console only with plans like this in some places. Or the cost might actually warrant the plan. Anyway, the 360 is not worth a 2 year sub, this would be better left to the next console. (yes people will sign up, still not worth it)

In the last 3 years I have never paid more than $35 for a 12 month XBL gold card but still a good deal. If I was first buying the console I would choose the cellphone type plan for sure. Hope this is testing pricing for the new way they will market the xbox 720 they would make a killing over the holidays.

You would also be netting services, though, like a subscription to the MLB and NBA games, which each run right around $100, so in the end you would actually be saving some money.
